Brukere i min forskning er pasientene med Parkinson sykdom og deres familier og pårørende som frivillig deltar i våre studier. Vi studerer genetiske og epigenetiske forandringer hos pasienter og friske og forsøker å belyse underliggende mekanismer ved Parkinson sykdom som kan utnyttes i behandling. Det er igjen brukerne (pasienter og pårørende) som vil direkte dra nytte av et positivt resultat i form av bedre diagnostikk og/eller ny terapi. Brukere i bredere forstand inkluderer alle personer med PD og deres familier over hele verden, som regelmessig blir oppdatert om fremdriften til våre studier via flere kanaler, inkludert vår nettside, populære og sosiale medier og vanlige åpne møter organisert i samarbeid med pasientorganisasjonene.
