Tildelingen har ført til utvikling av flere søknader om etablering av pasientrettede IKT tjenester, blant annet løsninger for kunnskapsdeling og for kliniker-pasient kommunikasjon. Tildelingen har gjort det mulig å etablere en bred kontaktflate mot helsesektor og e-helsesektor, herunder HEMIT og det regionale helse-IT programmet Helseplattformen.
Denne konkrete tildelingen har muliggjort nettverksbygging mot sektoren og etablering av konkrete forskningsprosjekter i samarbeid med helseplattformen, det største og mest betydningsfulle helse-IT prosjektet som noengang har vært gjennomført i Midt-Norge.
