Brukerne som ressurs ved sin erfaring med multippel sklerose og sin brukerkompetanse blir nyttiggjort ved kontakt med MS forbundet, og ved lokale aktører som er involvert både i foreningsliv og i offentlig brukerutvalg ved helseforetaket. Med sin brukerkompetanse vil brukerne være sentrale i å etablere retningslinjer for organisering av helsetjenester for dem som er rammet av sykdommen. Brukere er informert om prosjektet og skal holdes orientert om resultater, og skal formidle informasjon og kunnskap til andre brukere og til helseprofesjonelle. Brukere deltar i brukerutvalget i helseforetaket og har reell påvirkning for å optimalisere helsetjenester for pasientene.
